I've a bit of a cold at the moment, and I'm shattered as my sister was here last week and I haven't really caught up, so to overcome this I'm thinking of picking up a DVD Boxset and having a really lazy weekend.
Can anyone recommend anything...
I have just finished "Rome" season 1 & 2 over the last few weeks, I'd recommend that.

it's good...it's dark, and a bit funny. I like it because the characters are mostly realistic--like there are times you really like 'em, but later on, you can really get irritated with them. |

definitely arrested development like others have suggested.
firefly is also great. it's only 14 episodes so you could finish the entire series in a weekend. |
