I KNOW HER

My brother was really close to her older brother. I saw her last year at a wedding. Apparently she really has gone off the deep end in the last year.

Obviously.

By the way, the boy was 16 but still in middle school. And one of her sons goes to that same school.

Look at it from the bright side; I'm sure the boy was thrilled to have 'an older woman'.

But I agree, eewww!

This may sound a bit twisted, but... When I hear bad stories about people I knew in the past that are fudged up, it makes me feel like no matter what I've done or what's happened to me, it's really not that bad. In a twisted way it helps put things into perspective.

And 16 in middle school?! Did she take advantage of a disabled child?

I have no filter, even on the net. You should talk to me in person, full fledged diarrhea of the mouth ;)

My mom (who is a teacher) told me she heard he purposely failed because he deals drugs to the middle schoolers. I have no idea whether that is true or not. But I am pretty sure he isn't disabled (mentally or otherwise). I imagine they'd be making an even bigger deal if that was true.

And Carla I know what you mean. I think that's partly why people are attracted to stories like this- makes you feel better about your life!

I feel really bad for her family (her parents are really great) and also for her poor kids. Her husband had filed for divorce a few months or weeks ago so I am sure this just solidifies his decision.

So the kid is possibly just profiting on being a horrible influence on younger children, nice! What an entrepreneur.

You are right it does make you feel better, but when I know the person, and didn't care for them, it makes me feel 10 x better :)

Guess who's gonna get custody of those kids in the divorce.

By the way, apart from the student/teacher issue, this also constitutes statutory rape in the States, right? As far as I know, the legal age in your country is 18. Here, it's 15 although I think it's a year or two too early.

Right, thanks. I read about some specific cases anyway, don't remember which state though.

The most scary thing for me about being a teaching student. She doesn´t seem to be a bad looking woman, how come she couldn`t find a real man?

She's married, though her husband is divorcing her.
