I just got the new Death Cab for Cutie album. First listen didn't do much to me, but on the second round it started to grow. More difficult to get into than Plans, but promising.
Pretty grim stuff in the lyrics department. |

I like them, but I heard a new song I've never heard by them on the radio the other day...it must have been the new single for this album. It was SO repetitive...I liked the music, but the lyrics were just the same thing over and over ... it was awful.
EDIT: Just looked it up...it's "I Will Possess Your Heart." |

EDIT: Just looked it up...it's "I Will Possess Your Heart."
It's about a stalker, so no wonder it's manic. I actually quite like it now, after hearing it a couple of times. The album version has a very long intro.
I still prefer their older albums, they were airier somehow. |
